Why can't I extract my downloaded software?


All of our software is compressed into a .zip file that will need to be extracted using decompression/extraction software, which is typically on your system by default.

If you're having trouble extracting/decompressing our .zip file's contents, try some of these tips:

  1. Decompression/Extraction software
    Ensure you have decompression software installed on your system so you are able to unzip the downloaded package. Most operating systems come with a built-in utility, you may also choose from the many free programs that are available (like WinZip or 7Zip).
     
  2. Hard-wire your Internet connection
    If you are wirelessly connected to the Internet, turn off your wireless connection and hard-wire your computer. This can help combat corrupted or incomplete downloads, which can have extraction problems.
     
  3. Switch to another browser or clean out your browser's cache, then try downloading once more.
     
  4. Proxy-related issues
    If you are behind a firewall or proxy, you may experience problems if it isn't properly configured or is restrictive in where files are downloading from. Try temporarily disabling your firewall/proxy, or downloading using a different Internet connection.
     
  5. Use a download manager
    A commonly experienced problem is getting disconnected and reconnected within a short time period, which may not be normally noticed, but may prevent the file from downloading correctly. A download manager will help pick up where you left off once you are reconnected.
